This week’s thrift store game tests our television knowledge from over 20 years ago. Tonight, we play Trivial Pursuit TV Edition and reminisce of television shows of yore. Find out why Brian keeps talking about flavors of pie and what Curtis’s family thought he was doing in the bathroom when he was in high school.
The box says “A minute to learn… a lifetime to master.” It’s called Othello but it has nothing to do with the Shakespeare tragedy. Or does it?
You can play Othello courtesy of Amy in New Zealand’s husband at hewgill.com/othello.
Thanks to TVD for the recent iTunes review.
We immerse ourselves into the highly-praised science fiction television show when we play Battlestar Galactica The Board Game. Will the Cylons defeat us? Eh… most likely. We also talk about our new favorite app, Draw Something; available on both iOS and Android.
Gentlemen, we can record. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world’s first bionic podcast. This week we play a vintage board game based on the television show The Six Million Dollar Man.
It’s the holiday season, so what better time to play the game based on the popular Christmas comedy: A Christmas Story The Board Game. And who better to play it with than movie critics Alonso Duralde and Dave White of the Linoleum Knife podcast.
We of course talk a lot about movies, but also Brian’s mysterious magazine subscription. Plus we get a surprise visitor.
Also be sure to check out Alonso’s book Have Yourself a Movie Little Christmas available on Amazon.com. It makes a great stocking stuffer.
Thanks to Dave & Alonso for joining us. We had a ton of fun and no one shot their eye out.
It’s Labor Day weekend and we are playing the classic board games, Careers. This prompts us to recount the many jobs we’ve had.
It’s all right, ‘cos we are playing the Saved By The Bell Game. This week we play a dating game based on the Saturday morning sitcom.
Brian talks about his recent trip to Portland, including a visit to a pizza speakeasy, while keeping his middle name to himself. Mike’s planning a trip to Vancouver while having trouble sleeping due to being over-caffeinated. He also lusts over Mario Lopez, then and now.
When in Portland, be sure to check out the sheer awesomeness of Lonesome’s Pizza.
Big thanks to Mary for giving us this game. Check out photos of her über cute baby at thegardnersgrow.com.
On our one year anniversary, we play the classic word game, Scrabble and reminisce about our favorite moments from our first year.
And finally, we want to thank YOU, our listeners! Thank you SO much for listening to our show. We really appreciate it. You all rock!
