Jeff Foxworthy has made a career of telling “You might be a redneck if…” one liners and this week we play a game based on them , accurately titled Jeff Foxworthy’s You Might Be a Redneck If… Game.
This week’s episode was recorded live in front of a studio audience in Las Vegas at Pride48. We play a game of improper clues that lead to very clean answers called More Dirty Minds. Thanks to Ed from It’s All About M.E. and Scott from The Satyrsphere for playing with us. Also, big thanks to Nicole, Christina & TJ from Greetings from Nowhere for singing our theme song.
Other people you will hear include: Mike from Catching Up, Daniel from Dubious Intent +, Nessa from Hello Nessa, Daddy Dave & Romo from Pod Cubs, Taylor & Taffy from Pod Is My CoPilot, Jon & Nan from Secretly Timid, Big Fatty from Big Fatty Online, Wes from The Gay Life of a Country Boy, David from That Blue Jeans Guy, Christian from Pleased to Meet You, Matthew from Chaotic Ravings, and Blair from Instant Gratification.
Marq & Ed from the It’s All About M.E. Podcast gave us this game last week while they were visiting Phoenix. It’s a guessing game for kids called HedBanz. Things we talk about this week include Isabella Rossellini’s Green Porno web series on the Sundance Channel, an app by Ellen DeGeneres that is very similar to this game called Heads Up!, and Brian still wants to know what Curtis wants to do for his birthday. Be sure to tweet us with your suggestions.
Listen to us and Listener Dan on the It’s All About M.E. Podcast at itsallaboutmepodcast.com. Thanks for having us on your show Marq & Ed and thank you for this game!
The Moment Of Truth was a game show where contestants were given a polygraph test and asked hard-hitting questions in front of a live audience in order to win a cash prize. This game is very similar only there’s no live audience, no cash prize and no lie detector. So basically, it’s just a bunch of question and a noise maker. Things we talk about include meeting Marq & Ed from the It’s All About M.E. Podcast (itsallaboutmepodcast.com) and local listener Dan and Phoenix Comicon,
Thank you BradMa and Luke for the recent iTunes reviews. Be sure to check out Luke’s podcast Instant Gratification at igpodcast.com.
The Game Night Guys Estrogen Brigade returns to help us play a game that requires a lot of people. It’s a very simple twist on a classic guessing game called Reverse Charades.
Watch video from this game at youtube.com/gamenightguys.
Thanks to Scott from Reverse Charades for sending us this game. You can find out more at ReverseCharades.com.
They’ll make a board game out of anything it seems. This week we channel our inner morality police and play a board game based on the socially conservative radio talk show host, The Dr. Laura Game.
Mike calls in with a problem that’s been troubling him, Curtis has been working a lot and Brian made pierogis. We also talk about talk radio, advice columnists, Savage Lovecast, and the Cinnamon Challenge.
Mike’s here this week and we see how many things we can rattle off before forgetting when we play Memory Madness. Things we discuss include Justin Bieber, the one naughty limerick we can remember, the end of Curtis’s mandatory overtime (huzzah!), volunteering with the Charity Chicks, Pride 48 in Vegas, and pub trivia.
And of course, we end up talking about the Golden Girls. Natch.
We also recommend the fantastic audio fiction podcast, The Truth. It’s so good! They are at thetruthapm.com.
Brian’s sick, Curtis is overworked and Meredith is our new Alec Baldwin. Throw all this in a blender then stick microphones in front of it and you get a whole bunch of Malarky.
Happy Mother’s Day! In honor of this special day, Mike brings his mom over to play Family Feud. Survey says… fun! Happy Mother’s Day everyone!
