Love Letter

Love Letter is a game of risk, deduction and luck in which you are trying to get your love letter to the princess. Or is it Batman? Things we talk about this week include Dutch Bros., cereal and our Battlestar Galactica episode. We also announce the winners of our Monument Valley contest and what we are referring to as CapitalsGate.

Capitals, Riff the Robot, Angry Birds Fight and Shawdowmatic

It’s another iOS show. This week we play different apps we are currently enjoying: the word game Capitals, the pachinko-style Riff the Robot, a new Angry Birds game and the zen puzzle game Shadowmatic, not to be confused with Shadow Dancing.

We are also giving away five codes to download Monument Valley! Before July 4, 2015, share your app recommendations with us either on Twitter using the hashtag #GNGapp5, send us an email or leave a comment on our post about this show on Facebook. Hell, you could leave a comment here and we’ll count it.

Raiders of the Lost Ark Game

Raiders of the Lost Ark is a movie that is near and dear to our childhood hearts. We wish we could say the same about this board game version.

This week’s episode includes a special segment titled Facebook Message Theater.

Yahtzee Free For All

We play a version of Yahtzee this week that uses cards called Yahtzee Free for All. We also talk about Kristin and Kandi’s Wedding 2.0, Brian’s trip to Virginia and Washington D.C. including meeting Secretly Timid alumni Paul and Faggles to Faggles creator Bryan.

Oh My Gods!

Oh My Gods! is a quick game of deduction that is currently available through a Kickstarter campaign. Joining us this week to play this game are Kandi and Kristin, our Game Night Gals, who have been listening to a couple Pride48 podcasts. We also talk about a game night Curtis hosted.

Thanks to Tim Blank for sending us this game. His Kickstarter is already fully funded and will be open until March 31, 2015.

Skosh

This week we play Skosh, a trivia game where you don’t have to know the exact answer. You just need to be close enough. Other things we discuss: Curtis has been working a lot (surprise!) and Brian went to a concert on a school night, played lazy bingo and met listeners Amy & Greg from New Zealand.

Big thanks to John from Goldbrick Games for sending us this game.

The Price Is Right

Come on down! Carrie & Meredith return to help us play a game based on the long running television game show, The Price Is Right.

Thanks to Flip from Flip The Table for sending us this game.
